Each month I will feature a lesson from Catherine Ponder’s ground-breaking book, The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. Each of the laws comes down to the power of our thoughts to either create success or lack and limitation in our lives. She writes:

About Catherine Ponder
Catherine Ponder, born February 14, 1927, in Hartsville, South Carolina, is an American minister of the Unity Church, and author of books in the prosperity field. She is considered one of America’s foremost inspirational authors. She has written more than a dozen books, which include such bestsellers as her Millionaires of the Bible series. She is a minister of the non-denominational Unity faith and has been described as “the Norman Vincent Peale among lady ministers.” She has served in Unity Churches since 1956, and heads a global ministry in Palm Desert, California.
Ponder wrote her first prosperity book The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity in the early 1960s whilst living in Birmingham, Alabama, and was included among 50 ‘success classics’ in an eponymous book by personal development scholar Tom Butler-Bowdon. ~ From Wikipedia
The Shocking Truth About Prosperity
“The shocking truth about prosperity is that is shockingly right instead of shockingly wrong for you to be prosperous!”
It’s that simple! Shockingly simple! But easy…? The majority of people have it in their heads that prosperity is not for them. They want to be prosperous; they want to have abundance in their lives; and they do whatever they can to manifest prosperity. Yet, they do not desire prosperity. This is the conflict that most people are dealing with so this is also the kind of energy they are resonating.
Ponder says that we are not to want to be prosperous simply because of the good that we can do. She says this is secondary. We should want to be prosperous because it is our birthright to be. We have a right to be prosperous simple because of being a child of the Divine.
